In Oberammergau, a billboard of one of the last scenes of the Passion Play given every 10 years throughout the summer with a cast of 2000 locals.

After 3 hours, an intermission allows play-goers to enjoy dinner at an assigned restaurant.

We were served pork, spaetzel and veggies. So good.

Inside the Venus Grotto where Ludwig paid homage to Wagner and his Opera Tannhauser. The shell boat from the opera was used to row him around the grotto.

Among the many buildings paying tribute to various themes, such as music and hunting, Ludwig build this Moorish Kiosk Bob and I admire the mountain view from Linderhof

The gate leading into Dachau that told the people Arbeit Macht Frei or Work will make you free.  The grotesque tribute to those who died at Dachau Langdorf - St. Peter's Kirche where we sang the morning service with 12 of our songs.

We are singing and I was especially excited because some of Bob's family who live nearby attended the service. View from the balcony. Bob's cousins Henri and Lani. He can be seen in the yellow shirt seated to the left just beyond the robed altar boys. Here is Lani and Henri's son Herbert with his daughter, Nina at our lunch together

My lunch was a German version of Chicken cordon bleu with fries.  Nina enjoyed dessert.

Reinhold is another cousin. At Herbert's, we admired the garden that Henri built for Herbert. Nina is feeding the fish. In English -- Where flowers grow, the world smiles.

Johannesberries are currants. They were tasty. Nina decorated our dessert plates with drawings of the American flag.
